Individual Therapy

 

Individual therapy is recommended to clients who are experiencing:

  • Anxiety and panic attacks - when you are anxious you notice rapid breathing, a racing mind,  a racing heart, sweaty palms and/or numb finger tips, feeling on edge, panicky, you have sleeping problems
  • Depression - for more than two weeks you feeling sad most of the time, you lost interest and pleasure in usual activities, feeling apathetic, prefer social isolation, you lack energy and motivation, crying more than usual for you
  • Trauma (PTSD) - when you were exposed to the event that threatened your life and safety or that of others around you. When you remember the event it is extremely distressing, you may experience flashbacks and/or nightmares, negative feelings about yourself and the world, blaming self or others for the trauma
  • Eating problems - including binge eating, purging and excessive exercising 
  • Low self-esteem and lack of confidence
  • Relationship issues with partner and family, at work, studies
  • Isolation and loneliness, chronically single, unhealthy dating experiences
  • Work related issues including job satisfaction, work-life balance, job loss and changes, injuries at work or on the road (Workcover claims)
